Another Guessing Contest! How Many Eggs Were Collected in 2017?
I’m feeling the need for another guessing contest! I used one of the Adventurous Makers Calendar to record the number of eggs that my family’s chickens lay in 2017. I not only wanted to know how many eggs we got from our hens, but I needed to create some farm records for the accountant.
How many eggs were collected in 2017?
Our flock of chickens varied in size during the year, but we have a core group of 60 laying hens. These hens began laying their first eggs in March and the daily production has varied throughout the year as the hens settled into their cycles.
