Foot Maintenance Week - Rub-a-dub Scrub in the Tub

Foot Maintenance Week - Rub-a-dub Scrub in the Tub

Today we have another great recipe to keep your feet happy and healthy. You want to know one of the things I dislike most in this world? When my feet become so dry that they snag on my sheets!

Finished jars of the foot scrub.

Finished jars of the foot scrub.

When I have gotten to the point of scraggly feet, I know that my feet are in desperate need of some TLC. So many of us struggle with dry, cracked feet, and we all know how painful it can be. Taking just 15 minutes each week to give your feet some love can change everything.

Due to the potential irritation caused by the essentials oils in this recipe, I do not recommend using this scrub on skin that is cracked or damaged as it may cause a burning sensation.

This recipe has few ingredients and is very easy to make. I used this scrub then followed it with the lotion recipe that I will be sharing with you tomorrow. Afterward, my feet felt so smooth. I wanted to show them off to anyone I could. Beautiful, baby-soft feet are closer than you may think! After letting this scrub sit for a while the color of the scrub changed quite a bit. The peppermint leaves in the scrub caused the oils and salt to switch to a darker color, but I am still pleased with how this scrub turned out. Keep on reading for a foot scrub recipe.

This recipe is so simple. All I did to make this scrub is weigh out all of the ingredients into a beaker, then I mixed until everything was thoroughly combined.

We often get asked if a preservative needs to be added when making a scrub with our Glycerin Scrub Base. The good news is that our scrub base has a preservative in it already!

If you decide to make this scrub (which you definitely should), please comment and let me know what you think. Did you change up the recipe? Would you do something different? We love hearing feedback from our adventurous makers.
