*To get my premixed colors, I mixed 1/2 tsp of dry dye with 1 fl oz of water. If you purchase the Water Soluble Colorant Kit, you will get a 1 oz dropper bottle for each color.
This recipe is super easy and allowed us to use a whole 5 lb pail of the Transparent Soap Base. You can microwave the whole pail at once or fit the soap into a double boiler. Heat in short time increments to prevent scorching. Stir to help the soap melt. Keep heating until all the soap is melted and there are no more solid pieces left.
Next, pour in your fragrance oil and keep stirring. We want to make sure we thoroughly incorporate the fragrance oil for even distribution. After I had stirred in my fragrance oil, I added the amount of color that I wanted. I wanted to get an amber color, so I used a ratio of 1 part Purple Raspberry and 3 parts Lemon Yellow, but you can use any ratio or amount of color that you want!
After your soap cools, carefully remove it from the mold and show it off to the world! You and the kids are now melt and pour soap making machines! Whatever you choose to do with your new creations, ENJOY IT!

Once all ingredients are combined, slowly and carefully pour soap into the soap mold of your liking. Fill the mold(s) about 1/3 to 1/2 full. Spritz each ring with the Isopropyl Alcohol and press down into the cooling soap. If you have bubbles on the surface, don’t worry! Simply spritz with the Isopropyl Alcohol and watch the bubbles pop. Allow the soap to cool until a skin appears on the top. Now you can top up the mold with the rest of your soap and allow the soap to completely cool and harden, preferably overnight, just to be safe.
After your soap cools, carefully remove the soap from the mold and show it off to the world! You and the kids are now melt and pour soap making machines! Whatever you choose to do with your new creations, ENJOY IT!
