Recently while taking an order over the phone someone asked me which jar I would recommend for their next project. My answer was it all depends on what we are talking about here, there are so many different jars and different products that it is so hard to say which one is best.

We have quite the variety of different jars starting with the smallest jar, the 5 mL Baby Lip Balm Jar all the way to our 16 oz Clear PET Deep Jars. There are clear jars or frosted jars, round base or straight base jars. You have the options of black or white lids and dome or straight lids. The possibilities are endless.

Taking a look at our smaller jars such as the 5 mL, 10 mL, and 1/2 oz jars I think that they are best used for lip balms, lip scrubs, or a small sample of lotion. It is the perfect size to fit in your pocket or purse and use anywhere you need. We also have a 1 oz jar and cap set which you have probably seen in your order before because it is our go to jar for samples! Moving up on the scale we have 2 oz jars and 4 oz jars that I think are perfect for a lotion to set on your work desk or a body scrub to give as a gift to your best friend. Last but not least we have 8 oz and 16 oz jars that I think would be perfect used for hair conditioner, body scrubs, or an everyday lotion that you set on your bed side table.

Something else that you want to take into consideration when you are trying to find the perfect jar for your product is what the jar is made out of. Our jars are made out of two different kinds of plastic one is PET (polyethylene terephthalate) and the other is PP (polypropylene). PET is strong, lightweight, economical and also shatterproof! PP plastic is very strong, can handle a lot of stress, and can also handle heat. So if you are needing to pour something that is hot, a PP plastic jar would be the best choice.

What is your favorite jar? And what do you use it for? Let me know and I’ll send some goodies your way!
