Morning Sunshine Soap - Day 2

Even though my last Morning Sunshine inspired soap was rather unsuccessful, I am determined to have a physical soap of what I have pictured in my head. I am not about to let a small incident get in between me and my imagined soap! I am going to make it and it willwork! Come join me in the kitchen!

Now this batch was just about as successful as my batch yesterday. Yep, you guessed it. I have another cosmetically challenged soap! Although, this cosmetic challenge is a little different from yesterday. This time it appears that I did not incorporate my color completely. My blue color to be precise. ❗ So that means when you are using this soap and run across a pocket of blue pigment in the soap, you will get blue streaks down your leg! Again, this soap is usable, however it should come with a warning label. The last thing you want is to create panic from the user. 😳

Weigh all of the oils for both kits into separate microwave safe containers. Heat gently until liquid. Add the lye to the water to for a lye solution for each oil kit. Mix the oils and lye solution and blend until a light trace is achieved for each soap kit. Add the Lemon Zinger Fragrance Oil and Ultramarine Blue color to Kit 1 and mix well. Add the Lemon Zinger Fragrance Oil and Yellow Lip Balm Color to Kit 2 and mix well. Pour blue colored soap then the yellow soap into a mold, swirl and allow to sit for 24 hours. Cut the soap. Allow the soap to cure. Longer curing time will result in a harder bar. Enjoy!
