Simply Vanilla Lip Balm

In this business, I have come across a surprising amount of people who prefer a plain lip balm. Personally, I don’t understand it. I think if there is more flavor the better the lip balm is! To me, there is nothing better than licking your lips and getting a sweet, fruity taste. But that’s just me! I made this lip balm for those of you who aren’t fans of strongly flavored lip balm. The flavor in this lip balm comes from our Natural Vanilla Oil and just a dash of the Sugar Baby Flavor Oil to give it a slightly sweet note.

The finished Simply Vanilla Lip Balm!

The finished Simply Vanilla Lip Balm!

Most of you know how men can be when it comes to wearing lip balm. I took a sample of this Simply Vanilla Lip Balm home to my husband and he actually enjoyed it, which is a first for him! For this particular post, I chose the Shea Butter Lip Solution because it’s my absolute favorite lip solutions. The Shea Butter Lip Solutions is our softest Lip Solutions, it leaves your lips feeling moisturized and slightly glossy. I’ve included the recipe for this sweet lip balm below.

Come join me in the blog kitchen while we make some yummy lip balm!

Ingredients
Shea Butter Lip Solutions
Natural Vanilla Oil
Sugar Baby Flavor Oil
Equipment
Scale
Microwave Safe Container
Spoons
Lip balm Tubes & Caps
Filling Tray
Pipettes

Recipe: (0.63 lb jar Shea Butter Lip Solutions)

Recipe in Grams
300 grams Shea Butter Lip Solutions
6.19 grams Natural Vanilla Oil
3.09 grams Sugar Baby Flavor Oil
Recipe in Ounces
10.58 ounces Shea Butter Lip Solutions
0.22 ounces Natural Vanilla Oil
0.11 ounces Sugar Baby Flavor Oil
Recipe in Percentages
97% Shea Butter Lip Solutions
2% Natural Vanilla Oil
1% Sugar Baby Flavor Oil

The first step in making this lip balm is to heat your jar of Lip Solutions. The easiest way to do that is by putting it in the microwave for a minute or two. Once your Lip Solutions is completely melted you can add the flavor oils, then mix it. If you are making a large batch of lip balms, I think a filling tray is essential. It can help make clean up easier and you can do up to 50 at one time! If you want to do less than 50 but still want to use a filling tray, check out this hack the Taylor posted awhile back called A Lip Balm Tube Filling Tray Hack.

Enjoy! 🙂
