Orange Butter Lip Balm

I love fruit tree blossoms. I think they are some of the prettiest flowers that also produce some very delicious fruits. Cherry blossoms are one of my favorites due to their coloring and light scent. I was inspired by our Cherry Blossom Fragrance Oil to make a body cream that feels great and smells like spring!
I wanted to use Aloe Butter because I think it makes a great lotion or cream. My personal opinion is that the infusion of aloe vera into Coconut Oil gives more than great texture, but label appeal as well! I added Cherry Seed Oil and Colorless Jojoba to help keep the body cream from feeling like it was too heavy on the skin. Both of these oils also indulge the skin by helping counteracting dry skin and providing an oil barrier like the very oils our skin produces. Let’s go make this great body cream! Weigh all ingredients except the additives (Liquid Germall Plus and Cherry Blossom Fragrance) into a microwave safe container. Heat in the microwave using short time bursts until everything is melted. Blend the ingredients to a smooth, creamy consistency using the immersion blender. Add the additives once the temperature drops to approximately 120° F in the mixing bucket. Stir gently until completely mixed. Pour into containers and allow to cool completely before labeling.
Body Cream Notes: This is a light to mid weight body cream that is easily rubbed in and quickly absorbed. This cream had a slight drag as I rubbed it in, but I enjoyed that. I think this would be great hand cream for hand crafters who work with fibers because this cream would both keep hands feeling soft and yet not make the fibers greasy.
