Summer Body Butter Stick

Finished

Finished Summer Body Butter Stick

For me, summer means that I am constantly on the go. There are campfires to sit around, trails to hike, lakes to splash in and grass to lounge on. It is really important that simple necessities can fit into my bag. While I adore lotions the jars stay home on my night stand awaiting my return. I do like to carry around a body butter stick because I can keep my skin protected and soft with minimal fuss or muss. If summer finds you constantly on the move, may I suggest this body butter stick? It is truly the perfect summer companion! This Summer Body Butter Stick is quite firm but it still glides on the skin smoothly. This is a product you definitely wouldn’t want to leave in your car because it could melt, but it is perfect to keep in your pocket or in your beach bag!

Weighing Oils

Weighing Oils

Weigh everything into a microwave safe container. Heat gently until everything is completely melted. This will take about 2-3 minutes. If everything but the beeswax has melted, remove the container from the microwave and give it a stir. This will help the beeswax melt without adding any additional heat. Keep an eye out for anything that has not melted yet. If you see anything, keep stirring. The heat and the mild agitation will help your oils and waxes melt.

If you are familiar with making lip balms and other salves, you know that there is a point that the mixture will become crystal clear. This is good! If the mixture is crystal clear, we know everything has melted completely, ensuring a smooth finished product.

Fill the mini deodorant tubes and allow to cool. Cap, label and enjoy!
