As promised, here’s a quick way to enjoy Java Java Fragrance Oil in a super moisturizing body cream. This couldn’t be easier – just use our fragrance calculator to determine how much fragrance to use with any of our lotion or cream bases for a no-fuss project. We’ll be using a gallon of lotion base, which weighs 8.1 pounds. That calls for 0.52 ounces of Java Java Fragrance Oil for a subtle scent, which is plenty with this fragrance.
I’m going with Sunny Body Cream Base for this project for several reasons. First, sunflower oil (the main ingredient in this body cream base) has a high amount of naturally occurring Vitamin E. Second, this cream features American-grown and processed non-GMO sunflower oil. Third, it’s practically odorless, which means no problem with any fragrance.
Sunny Body Cream Base is packed with wonderful additives, including Calendula Oil Extract, Ivy Extract, and Comfrey Leaves Extract.
(Note: This base is not compatible with any additives containing propylene glycol.)
Please do not use a high shear mixing method to add the fragrance. Stir by hand only! Check out our newest tools: flexible silicone spatulas that are perfect to be sure every last bit of the lotion gets equally fragranced. We have two of them: an 11″ red silicone spatula spoon and an 8″ silicone spatula that comes in lime green, yellow, or black.
If you want to add a smidge of color to the lotion, that’s a great way to be able to tell if it’s thoroughly mixed. Our Water Soluble Colorant Kit is a perfect way to do this. Adding a drop or two of premixed red or yellow (or both!) brings a lovely, warm hue to any white base.
We’ll be mixing up samples of Sunny Body Cream Base scented with Java Java Fragrance Oil, and they will be going out in orders soon. If you especially want to try this cream base with Java Java Fragrance Oil, you can request a sample when you order.
