Wild Mint & Ivy Transparent Soap

Wild Mint & Ivy Transparent Soap

Finished bars of Wild Mint & Ivy transparent soap.

Finished bars of Wild Mint & Ivy transparent soap.

I love watching spring transform into summer. I love the lush green and mildly unpredictable weather. I am watching my rhubarb grow anxiously, and I am changing out all of my salt potpourris from the delicious Vanilla Hazelnut to the light, green scent of Wild Mint and Ivy. I love this fragrance. It reminds me of my college days, as we were nearing the end of the semester. The air would be starting so shimmer with heat, but I couldn’t stand to be cooped up inside. Instead, I would make my way across campus to a set of red brick buildings with a mass of green ivy clinging to the walls. It is there that I would lounge in the grass with my book bag, reading and studiously ignoring my final papers waiting to be written. I loved that wall to wall carpet of green, crowned by a sliver of brilliant blue sky.

Start with measuring the Transparent Melt and Pour Soap in a microwave safe container. Heat gently in 1-minute intervals until the soap has melted. Add the diluted Grape and Lemon Yellow color until you reach the green you desire. Stir well. Add the Wild Mint and Ivy Fragrance and a small amount of glitter. Stir well. Remember, it is always easier to add more glitter than to wish you hadn’t used so much. A little glitter goes a long way. Pour the soap into a mold and allow to cool. Unmold and enjoy!
