Tummy and Toe Jam

Introduction

Perfect for kids or those who are kids at heart.

This was made on the blog on January 14th 2010.

Ingredients:

    .16 oz wt citric acid
    .8 oz wt emulsifying wax
    .8 oz wt stearic acid
    .64 oz wt Liquid glycerin
3.6 oz wt sweet almond oil
    10 oz wt water
Watermelon Fragrance Oil, 1/2 fl dram or as desired
Amethyst Pink Color, 2 drops of mixed liquid color or as desired

Instructions:

Combine all ingredients except fragrance oil and color. Microwave until water appears white. This is about 1 minute on High. Blend with a hand blender until mixture is emulsified. Add fragrance oil and two drops Amethyst Pink color. Blend again. Total blending is approximately 1 minute. Pour into cosmetic jars or lotion bottles. Pouring into containers while still warm is important. Makes approx 16 fl oz.

Notes & Comments:

This recipe was made for two classes with 9, 10 and 11 year olds. They loved the name and the fragrance. Even the boys were crazy about having their own jar of lotion. The boys were the only ones who asked if they could have two jars (one for home and one for school).

Yield

This recipe makes approximately 16 fl oz of cream.
