All Monty Python comedy troupe singing aside, this scent is really nice. The primary notes are of woods, moss, musk, hyacinth with vanilla, and a tiny bit of lavender. I noticed the musk aroma immediately and felt this was a "clean from the shower" type of scent. This oil would work well in soaps, lotions, hair products, and even as a cologne for men. If the usage rate were on the very light side, this would make a great beard oil!

Don't let your lumberjack smell off. Throw him in the shower with a bar of Lumberjack scented soap. Both of you will be happier!

Love it, but not what I expected

This is a great fragrance, but to my nose it is quite sweet. I get mostly vanilla and musk. I was hoping for something a bit more woodsy, so I add cedarwood essential oil which complements the fragrance nicely. This is one of my most popular soaps. Behaves well in CP soap, no noticeable acceleration. Not sure about discoloration, as I colored my soap with a bit of cocoa powder and expected (and got) a nice light tan color.

Lumberjack discolored on me to light tan. For my nose I get a LOT of black pepper. I found it needs mixing with other fragrances hence the 4 stars. So if you are looking for a unique peppery scent (not orange and chilli pepper... think black pepper essential oil), this would be a good choice.
