Did you know Reishi mushrooms are called the “mushroom of immortality”? We’ve captured the oil-soluble antioxidants from organic Reishi mushrooms to help keep skin hydrated and protected from environmental factors.

Reishi mushrooms are noted as an adaptogen in herbal medicine. They are believed to encourage the production of ceramides, block the absorption of environmental pollution, and boost skin hydration levels. We don’t know how well these benefits come through, but we love the skin feel even hours after application of a lotion using 1% Reishi Mushroom Extract and 2% Hydrovance.

Usage rates for this oil-soluble extract are generally 0.1 to 10%. We use up to 1% liquid bases like lotions and 2 to 4 % in massage oils. Under extreme conditions, we can see the usage as high as 10%, but not as a daily care product.
