Cinnamon is a better potpourri scent than a soap scent. The strong nature of cinnamon can be an irritant to the skin, so place your potpourri everywhere and scent your soap with something else. Cinnamon can also accelerate the trace of soap, in case you wondered. When blending with cinnamon, we recommend clove, litsea cubeba, and orange.

Lip Balms: When used in lip balms, this flavor is fun, but it should also be used lightly! When getting this much bang for your buck, you have to appreciate the flavors and essential oils that are a bit stronger than the average. I don't know about you, but I think getting more scent out of less oil use means a real cost saving!

We suggest making a test batch with 0.2% flavor added. Determine if this amount is suitable for you and increase, or decrease for future batches.

I really wanted to make a "cinnamon roll" scented lip balm, so decided to try this oil out as an addition since cinnamon flavors can be hard to find. As the description states, this stuff is really potent! Cassia can also be a little irritating to the lips if too much is used. I used only 1-2 drops in a batch of roughly 1.5oz of balm, and that seemed to work well for me without being irritating or too overpowering with my vanilla scents. Would highly recommend! Just make sure to follow the advice in the description.
