Green Tea Lip Scrub

I wanted to make a lip scrub featuring our green tea butter. I was actually inspired by the Blueberry Lip Scrub Andee made a few weeks ago. I guess you could say that I am extremely adventurous. I especially want to know if there will be any green tea flavor. Come join me for this experiment!

I was really happy with the finished texture of this product. This scrub did have a mild green tea note. I like it but I think I will remake this recipe with some of the green powder for a stronger green tea flavor. I found people who prefer mild oolong or green teas really enjoyed the flavor of the scrub. I really like an intense green tea flavor which is why I consider adding Matcha Green Tea. Maybe we can do this variation tomorrow. How does that sound?

I used two of our newer fixed oils that I find just dreamy. The Peach Kernel Oil and Cherry Seed Oil are light, dewy and pampering. They also make this lip scrub easier to apply to the lips. Personally, I like following this scrub up with Joy’s Buttercream Lip Oil Treatment. The two products together make a killer pair. Try both today!

Yield: This recipe will fill 15 of the 10mL Lip Balm Jars.

Notes: If you want to make a small batch, you can easily use a small personal blender like I did for these photos. I used a Cusinart Attachment.
