Easter is approaching fast. I love all of the colors that decorate homes, cards and even candy! I love color. Kathy took those wonderful spring-time colors as inspiration for her bubble bars.
My name is Kathy and I live in Arizona. We never did have a winter season, so it’s hard to get into the Spring season. I want some cold weather!!! Snow would be awesome!! Anyway, I’d like to submit my Bubble Bars for your challenge! Bubble Bars are pretty simple to make and use if you use small cupcake molds. But I wanted something a little more impressive, so I used graduated, flower-shaped cookie cutters to make mine. I held each layer together with “frosting”. Then I added some silk flowers into the “frosting” to give it a special WOW factor! What was I thinking??!! Yes, they’re pretty, but not really functional! They’re too big for one bath, so you have to cut or break them up into smaller pieces for a single bath – oh well, I still like the way they look! These are scented with Lavender EO. The other problem I ran into with my Bubble Bars was using candy sprinkles imbedded into the frosting. That would be fine if you gave one to an adult. But I gave one to my little grandson, Dustin. Dustin thought I gave him something to eat – oh yes he did!! He ate the little candy sprinkles first, then he bit into the bubble bar itself. Unfortunately, we weren’t paying attention! Well, he looked at me then made a really bad face – “yuk! Grandma, these taste bad”!! Bad choice for children! I hope you like them! Kathy Kathy’s story of her grandson really made me chuckle. I hope everyone is enjoying the spring-themed products! Which ones inspire you? |
