Sweet Red Licorice Lip Gloss

Sweet Red Licorice Lip Gloss

Red licorice takes me back to the good old days. When I was younger, it was my all time favorite candy. Who am I kidding? When I was young, any candy was my favorite! The Red Licorice Flavor makes me think of going to the movie theater, I would always get a bag of Twizzler Nibs and a giant soda to help me make it through the movie.

This would be a perfect project to make for Valentine’s Day! It is so easy to make and couldn’t every girl always could use more lip gloss? 😉 This gloss has only been tinted and does not really add color to the lips just makes them shiny. I think it would pair perfectly on top of a lipstick or just plain by itself!

Our Red Licorice Flavor Oil has notes of cherry and berry, it is a perfect flavor oil for all ages! This recipe is super easy and its bound to win your heart. The recipe below will make 1 ounce or 28 grams.

Q.S. means quantity sufficient. I barely dipped the tip of a pipette into the Ruby Lip Balm color and then swirled the pipette into the warm lip gloss to get my pink tinted lip gloss.

The first step in making this lip gloss is to weigh out the Castor Oil and Carnauba Wax into a microwave-safe container. Now you can heat in the microwave for short bursts of time until the wax is melted. Once the wax is melted, you get to add the fun stuff like flavor and colors!

When we say that a little bit goes a long way with the lip color, we really mean it! I would suggest starting by dipping the end of a toothpick into the color then swirl it into your gloss. You can always add more if needed, so start small. Same with the Silver Mica, sometimes it is hard not to go crazy with the sparkles, but really you only need one of the .15 cc scoops. If you add too much Silver Mica, it could give your gloss a grainy texture. We don’t want that!

This recipe is so easy and you only need a few items, it could be done with any flavor that you have lying around. I hope you enjoyed it!
